Our Careteam

Head Receptionist
Although Christy always had a childhood dream of tending to pets in a veterinary clinic, she was working in the customer service field by the time she was in high school. She enjoyed an almost 20-year career with the Long John Silver’s franchise, but finally decided that she would like to try her hand in the animal-care world. Now, Christy has been serving the pets and animal owners of the area here at Omaha Animal Medical Group for 15 years!

An Omaha native, Christy signed up at another local animal clinic briefly before she saw an advertisement for Omaha Animal Medical Group. She sent in her resume, and fell in love with the facility, staff, and patients as soon as she interviewed in the fall of 2001. The rest is history—Christy has been here ever since! She’s especially fond of interacting directly with animals and their owners, and also enjoys handing out tasty treats to deserving pets.

Outside of work, Christy enjoys bicycling, home improvement, and organizing things around the house. She and her husband own Third Nail Creations, a small business that makes custom metal artwork and figurines. For Christy, the business is a great way to get her creative juices flowing!

Christy and her family live with four dogs—Kody, Cajun, Coloqhoun, and Cassidy—as well as a cockatiel named Frankie who enjoys yelling at the dogs when they get too close to his cage.
Kennel Technician
Kimberly grew up here in Omaha with her parents and two sisters. She can’t remember a single moment when she didn’t want to do everything in her power to help the earth’s creatures. That’s been her singular goal ever since she was a little girl! Kimberly gets to care for pets on a daily basis as a member of Omaha Animal Medical Group’s kennel staff.

Kimberly studied in Animal Behavior College’s Veterinary Assistant program to earn her veterinary credentials, then launched her career in private practice. She’s a Kennel Attendant here at the hospital, and her favorite part of the job is getting to meet a wide variety of pet breeds. No two days are ever quite the same!

When she’s not tending to animals here at the clinic, Kimberly likes reading good books, cooking, camping in the great outdoors, and playing video games. She shares her life with two dogs: Jasper, a beagle who loves to curl up and snuggle, and Cooper the Labrador who thinks he’s small enough to be a lap dog.
Veterinary Assistant
Vikki had animals in her home ever since she was a little girl. She grew up with pugs and kept Golden Retrievers by the time she lived on her own. For her, pet care has always been a part of life! Vikki couldn’t be happier to better the lives of Omaha’s pets and animal parents as a part of the clinic’s talented team of Veterinary Assistants.

Vikki is an Omaha native and began her animal-care journey when she started volunteering with a search and rescue group, as well as an animal rescue organization. Those experiences led her to her first job in a veterinary clinic. She worked in a pair of animal hospitals in the Omaha area, as well as one in Lincoln, before joining the Omaha Animal Medical Group family in March of 2020. She couldn’t be happier to help the pets and owners of her hometown as a Veterinary Assistant!

Most of Vikki’s free time away from work is spent with her family. She has a son, Adam, who is married with one beautiful daughter and a second on the way very soon. Vikki and her husband, Steve, live in Omaha with their two cats: Harley, the sweet one of the pair, and the more ornery Gemma.
Veterinary Assistant
Nathan grew up in the small town of Clatskanie, Oregon, where he was constantly spending time in the great outdoors. He bonded closely with his childhood dogs, and that started a love affair with the world of animal care that hasn’t let up to this day. In high school, he took every animal- and biology-related course he could find, only further cementing his desire to help the earth’s creatures. Now, Nathan gets to do just that—he’s a Veterinary Assistant and helps pets on a daily basis!

Nathan attended Oregon State University to earn his Bachelor’s degree in zoology, and stayed in the area to work at the local Humane Society, where he would help pets for the next four and a half years. When the time came to make a change, he and his wife moved to Omaha, and he decided to continue his journey in animal medicine. Nathan joined the Omaha Animal Medical Group family in December of 2019 as a Veterinary Assistant and hasn’t looked back since!

One of Nathan’s favorite parts of his job is helping new pet owners understand all aspects of owning an animal companion, from parasite preventatives and vaccination to crate training and socialization. He also loves to use his skills in low-stress handling and finds it incredibly rewarding to make an otherwise scary veterinary visit comfortable for a patient.

Outside of work, Nathan likes reading, playing video games, constructing habitats for small animals and plants, and spending quality time with his family. Along with his wife, Kimberly, he shares his home with two cats named Haiku and Sonnet as well as two loveable and smart Chihuahuas named Rye and Penny. They also frequently have foster dogs at home because of their work with several organizations in the area.
