Our Careteam

Head Receptionist
Although Christy always had a childhood dream of tending to pets in a veterinary clinic, she was working in the customer service field by the time she was in high school. She enjoyed an almost 20-year career with the Long John Silver’s franchise, but finally decided that she would like to try her hand in the animal-care world. Now, Christy has been serving the pets and animal owners of the area here at Omaha Animal Medical Group for 15 years!

An Omaha native, Christy signed up at another local animal clinic briefly before she saw an advertisement for Omaha Animal Medical Group. She sent in her resume, and fell in love with the facility, staff, and patients as soon as she interviewed in the fall of 2001. The rest is history—Christy has been here ever since! She’s especially fond of interacting directly with animals and their owners, and also enjoys handing out tasty treats to deserving pets.

Outside of work, Christy enjoys bicycling, home improvement, and organizing things around the house. She and her husband own Third Nail Creations, a small business that makes custom metal artwork and figurines. For Christy, the business is a great way to get her creative juices flowing!

Christy and her family live with four dogs—Kody, Cajun, Coloqhoun, and Cassidy—as well as a cockatiel named Frankie who enjoys yelling at the dogs when they get too close to his cage.
Veterinary Technician
Jillian has been a passionate animal-lover ever since she was a toddler. Her love for the earth’s creatures never wavered—when she stumbled upon a veterinary technology program and realized she could help pets and their owners professionally, she didn’t hesitate! Jillian is now proud to serve as a Veterinary Technician with the Omaha Animal Medical Group.

Jillian grew up here in Omaha, only a few short miles from the hospital. After some time spent working in the broadcasting field, she began looking into other career options and came across a local veterinary technology program—Jillian started studying in 2003, and graduated a few years later as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She’s been helping pets live healthier lives ever since!

As a Tech, Jillian loves to give pets the gift of great dental health; she’s always amazed to see a dirty mouth shine after a professional cleaning. She’s also fond of laboratory work, and her favorite part of the job is helping to educate pet owners on the best care methods for their animal companions.

Outside of work, Jillian loves singing—she’s even had classical training!—and enjoying the company of her own pets at home. She shares her life with two cats: Quin, who loves cuddling with his mom and chewing plastic items; and the loud and ornery Chewy.
Veterinary Assistant
Dominique participated in a lot of extracurricular activities while progressing through grade school, but she found that her favorite part of each day was coming home to train her family dog, Charlie. Her passion for animals simply never wavered. The older she got, the more Dominique knew that she wanted to spend her days working with pets! She’s proud to now serve as a Veterinary Assistant with the Omaha Animal Medical Group.

An Omaha native, Dominique volunteered at local dog shows before she was even old enough to land a job. Her first professional experience in the world of animal care came when she signed on at a doggie daycare facility, which only further expanded her desire to work with pets full-time. Next, Dominique headed off to college to earn her Associate’s degree in pre-veterinary studies, beginning to work in her first pet clinic at the same time.

Upon moving back to this area, Dominique returned to her work in the doggie daycare world for a time before deciding to take the leap into veterinary care. She signed on with the Omaha Animal Medical Group family, and couldn’t be happier with her choice! Dominique is especially fond of veterinary dentistry, but her favorite aspect of her work is getting to learn new things on a daily basis.

Dominique’s favorite hobby outside of work also involves animals. She’s an avid dog trainer and has enjoyed training her own canine companions for many years. She shares her life with Lucy, a Dachshund whose favorite pastimes include chasing squirrels, eating, and being the diva of the house, and an athletic Border Collie named Marcy. Marcy holds titles in all sorts of dog sports, including flyball, herding, agility, and disc competitions—her best flyball time is four seconds flat!
Kennel Technician
Kimberly grew up here in Omaha with her parents and two sisters. She can’t remember a single moment when she didn’t want to do everything in her power to help the earth’s creatures. That’s been her singular goal ever since she was a little girl! Kimberly gets to care for pets on a daily basis as a member of Omaha Animal Medical Group’s kennel staff.

Kimberly studied in Animal Behavior College’s Veterinary Assistant program to earn her veterinary credentials, then launched her career in private practice. She’s a Kennel Attendant here at the hospital, and her favorite part of the job is getting to meet a wide variety of pet breeds. No two days are ever quite the same!

When she’s not tending to animals here at the clinic, Kimberly likes reading good books, cooking, camping in the great outdoors, and playing video games. She shares her life with two dogs: Jasper, a beagle who loves to curl up and snuggle, and Cooper the Labrador who thinks he’s small enough to be a lap dog.
