Kitties have it pretty easy in life. Fluffy may spend her days basically just napping and looking cute, and perhaps batting at the occasional catnip mouse. In fact, many furballs can’t be bothered to do much else other than enjoy being pampered. Here, a Bennington, NE vet lists some things that kitties just don’t care about.
Cats can sleep up to 20 hours a day, though they average about 14. For some reason, though, many kitties are at their most playful when their human buddies are sleeping. Fluffy absolutely loves batting toys around in the middle of the night! She also enjoys pouncing on her owners’ toes under the blankets.
Kitties are full of adorable quirks and habits. However, they really don’t care if they look a bit silly at times. Your furball may sleep in a pretzel-like position, or act a bit goofy when chasing a little toy mouse. Fluffy may also try to smoosh herself into boxes that are too small for her. Our feline pals also have no qualms about grooming themselves in front of people.
It’s probably safe to say that cats have absolutely no concept of privacy or personal space. Your furball may jump into your lap when you are working on something, or try to sleep on your head. Fluffy has also been known to follow her humans into the bathroom!
Has your cat ever scratched or meowed at a door, only to stay where she is when you open it? Fluffy often likes to have her humans open doors for her. That doesn’t mean she actually wants to go through the door, however: she just likes having options.
Some of our feline pals are quite amazing little athletes, who can jump and twist like furry little acrobats. Fluffy can even climb walls!
While your furry pal will definitely be healthier and happier with proper veterinary care, she doesn’t necessarily see it that way. All your feline buddy knows is that she has to go on a scary car ride, and then go to an unfamiliar place. (Sorry, Fluffy: coming to see us is definitely in your best interests.)
